More Covid Treatments Coming Out

Another treatment for covid......I wonder if Kaiser will give their members access to it or will they keep claiming that nothing has FDA approval. See for more info: https://www.businessinsider.com/fda-oks-first-covid-19-pill-from-pfizer-2021-12?fbclid=IwAR37TAhkoKoc5A27ubxk3OWfdR_CbaUiU8tXkAtXIqPHVuUj6Ob5U9PhVFM .

"'I am terrified right now': Hospitalizations are again on the rise as Covid cases surge" - People don't realize that the 80% of hospitalized covid people are only there because they did not get vaccinated and that they are taking up beds from other people that have different health conditions that were not preventable with a vaccine. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/us-hospitals-are-breaking-point-delta-omicron-rcna9562?fbclid=IwAR2nYzzmOljoYf2lsdp2p3FhRL4LY3yhTeqeJVm0wHTSxS6ESUDayxlvvsU

In the News Today 12/10/21

In a Denver Post article I saw that a Douglas county parent is going to try to sue over the mask mandate. I'm not sure why social services are not looking at parents that do not want to follow basic safety and health measures. It makes me wonder what other types of endangerments or things they are doing to their kids. Child abuse comes in all forms and not protecting the health of your child is one. This needs to be investigated more. I didn't include the link to this article since the Denver Post blocks you after so many page views. I'm sure you could also find more on the story elsewhere.

General Information:

"The coronavirus can infect body fat, new research suggests - a clue about obesity's link to severe COVID-19" - This makes me wonder what it is about fat cells that makes them great for viruses. I know that they are a fuel source to your body, but is there something extra that viruses just like about them. This is something that I do want to research more later. https://www.businessinsider.com/coronavirus-infects-body-fat-obesity-covid-hospitalization-death-19-2021-12?fbclid=IwAR2MiHanncUq6AGtmTaEV8D7AQFH07QPpipAJXkGfqQSk_NJxTnzsptrlV4

"Dr. Amesh Adalja: Healthcare workers 'burned out' from hospitalizations that could be 'avoided by a simple vaccine'" - This is just another article that keeps point out the same key thing: The vaccine works and the people not getting it are now the issue. https://www.msnbc.com/andrea-mitchell-reports/watch/dr-amesh-adalja-healthcare-workers-burned-out-from-hospitalizations-that-could-be-avoided-by-a-simple-vaccine-128315973564?fbclid=IwAR3OcQ748WQ_Nxcf_z_N25DfHgR1WzW8r12CHdF72QuQSzEeWZj-4s8G1Jk

"17 pandemic innovations that are here to stay" - I disagree with so much in this article. First off cannabis is not essential, it is a recreation drug unless you have a prescription for it. I never approved of it becoming legal for general use because it is still a drug that can very easily be overdosed on. This one I think will continue to get push back on. Robot deliveries are just a fad. I've actually never even seen one out and about. I think if they were really becoming a thing you would be seeing they everywhere like those popping toys. They are just not in high enough use to get any real traction. QR codes. Can we just say no. They only work on some phones and then the lighting has to be just right. I've had issues on my own phone and many different phone types from Moto's to iPhones have issues. QR codes are more of a pain. They also represent inequity because not all phone can read them. Many resturants also switched to using them instead of having paper menus, but then guests had to walk away due to not having the technology to read them. This impacts both the money the resturant could have gotten and people not being able to eat at places due to technology bias. Things do change, but not always for the better. https://www.politico.com/news/2021/12/10/17-ways-covid-hit-fast-forward-on-the-future-523845?fbclid=IwAR2HTZluvIibRmgjiECWiQnYwWygSFZHYx6mQddLB14J43yhJKC-wPR8o8I

"Anti-vaccine doctor fired for trying to treat COVID-19 patients with ivermectin" - So this one is a mixed bag for me. First off the doctor should have just been fired for being anti-vaccine. Second, the off use of drugs are very common. I know that right now people are arguing about what works and what doesn't, but we don't learn unless we try. At the same time ivermectin treatment is more then I got from Kaiser, which was nothing. So some treatment could be better then no treatment as long as the drug is giving in small doses and the people are aware of what side effects it may have and treatment for those are around in case something happens. If the hospital had a policy against ivermectin then he did break the policy, but why was the policy there in the first place. Does the hospital have any treatment options for covid. If not then instead of just blocking everything they need to work to get something in place. They are failing the people that count on them like how Kaiser failed me. This just shows how messed up our medical system is and it's not the ways we expected. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/mississippi-doctor-fired-anti-vaccine-parasite-medication-ivermectin/?fbclid=IwAR23794qIo1iR0KqjZfEWuef85pEEw4qsvmtp6j3BHfqcyFS_pW09lIKou0

"Pfizer CEO says we may need a fourth vaccine dose to combat the Omicron variant" - This is basically going to be like the flu shot where we need a new one each year. The way we are handling covid allows it to change and there may never be an end to new versions. https://www.businessinsider.com/pfizer-fourth-vaccine-dose-to-combat-omicron-ceo-says-2021-12?fbclid=IwAR0dyGR7FafYGaWsRal0kFwGj-2fawqsKMmJn4DGXG08VALw9WSd91J-kJA

International:

"Fix the global vaccine rollout or face even worse COVID variants, experts warn" - Some of our worst bugs have come from areas with the worst health care. Omicron Is In Colorado

So Omicron has been in Colorado for at least a few days now. While listening to CPR yesterday they were talking about it showing up in the waste water of Boulder county showing that they are now having community spread.

Articles from yesterday to be aware of:

"The World is Unprepared for the next pandemic, study finds" - It also doesn't help that people are fighting most of the things trying to be done to stop the pandemic. This article once again points out how 'shocked' the world was by the US's poor response to the pandemic. We are loosing our place as a world leader by the actions or in actions we are doing. https://www.cnn.com/2021/12/08/health/world-unprepared-pandemic-report/index.html?fbclid=IwAR2aMx3js_Le8eWDH3Kjhjg7Y9KJidCodD89pisWkSczLvy7UZzqO81jZs4

Omicron vs. T cells: Why scientists are banking on the immune system's 'memory'" - The whole point of the vaccine is to try and 'train' your body how to fight. https://www.blogger.com/blog/post/edit/3549321597249410215/6202601356844291167

"Doctors warn of 'unusual' Omicron symptoms in kids" - Look out for rashes. Covid in general can have weird symptoms. This is one of the reasons why it is not like anything else we have fought before. https://nypost.com/2021/12/08/doctors-warn-of-unusual-omicron-symptom-in-kids/?fbclid=IwAR1SHw70wItqvH48myORZioe_QsRg69K3ZquRi4C6mvLImFvyEKpN9xJSuQ

"Nursing home residents more likely to die of Covid if staff is unvaccinated, study says" - We already knew this but so many people are not paying attention. https://www.nbcnews.com/health/health-news/nursing-home-residents-likely-die-covid-staff-unvaccinated-study-says-rcna8049?fbclid=IwAR1WSUJYdXeO3ZF-NaArixsef9QcUcy62Z60SPK7YsXQfW7YeMGwYG1szYE

"Utah Mother Who Worried About Getting Vaccinated While Breastfeeding Her Son Dies of Covid-19" - These stories are getting old fast since there are so many of them. It is important for people to hear these stories because it shows how people are not being able to fight covid without the vaccine. It's like last night my professor was talking about what his wife has to deal with in healthcare. She just had a mother and son both get covid, they received the same care including being put on a ventilator, but the son died. The only difference was that she was vaccinated and he was not. The unvaccinated are basically committing suicide. Should we try to stop them or just let them kill themselves? https://people.com/health/utah-mother-who-worried-about-getting-vaccinated-while-breastfeeding-dies-of-covid-19/

Articles from today to be aware of:

"Fauci says families should 'ask,' 'maybe require' COVID vaccine for holiday guests before indoor celebrations" - 100% agree unless you ave family members you want to kill off. https://www.foxnews.com/media/dr-fauci-suggests-families-vaccine-mandate-homes-holidays?fbclid=IwAR3gy785OAJd4A1Pp_MiOvc4j-JyO6Lb5g5YmsdtkFhc5Ker3Fio_lDNwPE

"Covid-19: Do windy days reduce transmission?" - This reminds people that just being outside does not protect you from covid transmission. There are a lot of other factors that play into it. https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/covid-19-do-windy-days-reduce-transmission?fbclid=IwAR3-y8BQ1WB7KSosjLQJiavphUKqiUWOrmEO2DGJuDhiH0sjo11chXj9KcY

"In Town Hall, GOP Senator Ron Johnson Says 'Standard Gargle Mouthwash' Kills Coronavirus" - This guy needs to have charges brought against him for the reckless endangerment of people. What's sad is that there are people out there that will believe him. We need to hold people accountable for putting openly false information out there account for their actions. https://www.newsweek.com/town-hall-gop-senator-ron-johnson-says-standard-gargle-mouthwash-kills-coronavirus-1657604?fbclid=IwAR2feprjySWRjO7NoYcpjUDz6ibmQpji_1vSotmhEHlb4WCXj1ZVj9ez4AA

Not Surprising That Douglas County School Board Does Not Support the Health of It's Students

Douglas County School Board once again is following politics instead of science when it comes to the health and well being of their students. They have decided to OPT out of Masks as the Omicron virus is hitting Colorado. I really do not know how these people keep their jobs let alone not get hit with lawsuits due to reckless child endangerment.

Leaders in the Douglas County School District that need to go for not caring about the health of the students and endangering them:

Elizabeth Hanson - Her degrees are in business and law with no education in education or science.

Susan Meek - Another person that has a degree in business (economics) and one in Public Policy. No educational background in education or science. From her LinkedIn account you can see that she has done a lot of director work, but her ground level experience dealing with real issues daily is missing from her record. Nothing on her record reads as her having true experience that would help her be successful in her current position.

Becky Myers - Broken record time but Business certificate with degrees in family and consumer studies, but at least she has a MA in Information and Learning.

Mike Peterson - Ex-military and the district site said that he was an assistant professor at the USAF Academy, but not what degrees he had if any or if the only reason he even got the job was only due to work experience and not also education based.

David Ray - We then have a psychotherapist that depending on where he studied the amount of science background he may have may be limited to none. He does at least have a MA in Education. According to his LinkedIn profile he has been doing the same thing for 23 years (doesn't mean that he is good at it as decisions like this would prove). He doesn't make public what other work experience makes him qualified to do the job he does so if you don't show it you get no credit. So over all for him there is no reason for him to be in his current position.

Christy Williams - The district's site was missing bio info on her.

Kaylee Winegar - Another MA in Business. Not on LinkedIn so people can not verify any experience that might show she is qualified for current position so we have to assume that she has no work experience that would help explain why she is doing what she does beside politics.

What does this show: that elective officials don't need to meet any type of job qualifications or up hold any basic safety or health measures and they can use their lack of knowledge to their advantage and just say 'opps' as the spread of covid continues with their help. This proves that it should be mandatory that politicians or any one running for an elected position must provide a detailed resume so that people can understand the mess that they are getting themselves into based on who they elect. At the same time I don't think anti-maskers would really care about the education their kids get so it is not that far off that these people on on the board.

For more info check out:

https://www.westword.com/news/douglas-county-school-board-dumps-mask-rule-jefferson-county-update-12966854?fbclid=IwAR3IBnIciNMO0XJf8PQ9QOjdv3eFspJmM2D1Ec0SVfojcOW6e2N4g0IoTGc

https://www.dcsdk12.org/about/our_district/nondiscrimination_notice - It's funny/sad how they have a nondiscrimination notice on their website, yet by not supporting the mask mandate they are discriminating against a lot of people with disabilities and health issues that are negatively impacted by covid. Not to mention the long term effects/disabilities that covid is causing in people who survive infection.

https://coloradosun.com/2021/11/15/douglas-county-health-board-schools-mask-mandate/ - Everyone a part of this lawsuit forgot that one of the primary civil rights is right to life and that by them fighting masks that they are taking part in endangering the lives of people. This is selfishness to the extreme.

For the information on the board members I checked out both the District's site and LinkedIn. https://www.dcsdk12.org/about/leadership/board_of_education/board_of_education_directory

Omicron is Here (in the U.S.)

Today the first reported cases of Omicron in the U.S. have hit the media. It looks like California is the first to report the new strand.

Today's articles to be aware of:

"First Confirmed US case of Omicron coronavirus variant detected in California" - It's here. https://www.cnn.com/2021/12/01/health/us-omicron-variant-confirmed-case/index.html?fbclid=IwAR3uIRDn6OfMNWeh7StnoWG7O3shIT1_BFdfUbVLKIVtIPkAGayGkPeIQJ0

"Air travelers to U.S. set to face tougher COVID-19 testing" - This is really going to impact international students and international travel as well. https://www.reuters.com/business/healthcare-pharmaceuticals/us-cdc-urges-americans-avoid-travel-niger-poland-over-covid-19-2021-11-30/?fbclid=IwAR3Ed2b5APKKJF08sAsyqX7IfAGgD4p46d1qjQNGz_Wv-FTNLwRKIwh21X4

"Anti-Vaxxer Who Treated His COVID Infection With Bleach Ingredient Dies" - Not surprising that an Anti-Vaxxer killed themselves while pulling a Trump. Trust me I understand wanting to self treat, including if you were like me and not getting any help from your medical team, but at the same time only use things that can safely go into the human body, DO NOT DRINK BLEACH or any other similar product or chemical in it. If you can not get help from modern medicine look at traditional medicine or indigenous medicine. Also look at what your body may be missing nutrition wise to make sure your body has what it needs to fight the infection. ABOVE all get the vaccine. https://www.newsweek.com/anti-vaxxer-treated-covid-infection-bleach-ingredient-dies-johann-biacsics-austria-1654943?fbclid=IwAR2biBv53TUDG2_PArmBgZtuT8dgvm3rEyY7bxIP7MtAN2UKQ3cQeSiuPL0

"Marcus Lamb, Televangelist Whose Daystar Network Warned Against Vaccines, Dies of COVID-19" - Not surprised that he killed himself, and yes he did kill himself since he did not do what he should have done to protect himself. What got me about this one is about all the bad/false information he was responsible for spreading. How many people did he kill by them listing to him and the messages his network were presenting. How much blood does he have on his hands? https://people.com/health/marcus-lamb-televangelist-daystar-network-covid-19/?fbclid=IwAR1TY97oF9DQDt_YTudnPgCUfRqnklVd3S9V-cxEqQVlJaH1Dhanw5Ow1Z0

"Monoclonal antibody treatment will be available by bus in Colorado" - At least treatment options are expanding. As a reminder you will for the most part be on your own if you are with Kaiser in trying to set up a treatment. Don't expect help from them. https://kdvr.com/news/coronavirus/monoclonal-antibody-treatment-will-be-available-by-bus-in-colorado/?fbclid=IwAR0y3qIw8hgIgcvKGJm_jf7MQ6gIePyTI4oiNGOMmQH42JH1byGCWPDnZQA

International:

"Omicron Case In Nigeria Dates Back To October, Weeks Before It Was First Reported In South Africa" - This is a good example of where something may have come from somewhere else but it gets linked to who first says something, kind of like the Spanish Flu. https://www.forbes.com/sites/roberthart/2021/12/01/omicron-case-in-nigeria-dates-back-to-october-weeks-before-it-was-first-reported-in-south-africa/?fbclid=IwAR0y3qIw8hgIgcvKGJm_jf7MQ6gIePyTI4oiNGOMmQH42JH1byGCWPDnZQA&sh=6cd686c72abc
